Automated Colony Picking System
MIROB Microorganism-Transfer-Robot is a microorganism colony transfer system for MALDI-TOF MS sample preparation for all bacteria and fungi from Agar-Plates. MIROB dramatically reduces the variable cost of microorganism analysis and is ideally suited for larger sample volumes. MIROB ensures a consistently high quality of sample preparation and can be used for the safe handling of samples in S3 lab environments.

Manuel preparation creates a bottleneck however. This robot transfers two samples per minute while avoiding the media (Agar-Agar) so as not to compromise analysis.
Image analysis categorizes by color, surface and size and thus allows for user-defined and automated sample selection.
In addition each samples may ba transferred to a 96 deep well plate allowing the subsequent start of a pure culture after identification.
