How does it work?

Samples are processed identically to traditional cultivation methods. Sub-colony amounts of biomass grown on agar plates is picked and transferred to a MALDI-TOF sample plate by your medical assistant. Automatic measurement and identification with SARAMIS takes about 2 minutes only – results are available for your LIM system or printed reports.

What are the benefits for your daily routine?

  • Safe and reliable identification down to sub-species level
  • dentical processing of all bacteria and fungi
  • Two minutes only from colony picking to result
  • Lowest costs per sample
  • Almost no consumables required
  • Even unexpected or not yet identified pathogenic microorganisms are recognized classified?
  • There is no need for further investments or upgrading of your MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer Applications!

SARAMIS solutions are proven in several medical applications

Another application area is Susceptibility testing. Since the phenotype of the resistant pathogen is modified in some cases this is expressed in the fingerprint of a MALDI-TOF detection. SARAMIS recognizes these differences and allows complementary insights to results provided by traditional detection methods.
